ARRI/ZEISS Master Primes are co-developed by ARRI and ZEISS to offer exceptional optical performance.
- Fast T1.3 Aperture: The set maintain a fast T1.3 aperture, enabling shooting in extremely low light and creating a very shallow depth of field for a cinematic look.
- Virtually No Breathing: Utilises a patented Dual Floating Elements technology that eliminates “lens breathing” (the change in image size when focusing), which is critical for precise focus pulls and VFX workflows.
- Optical Perfection: These lenses are designed for high resolution and contrast, with virtually zero geometric distortion and minimal chromatic aberration.
- Lens Data System (LDS): Features a built-in system that communicates real-time lens status, focus, and iris data directly to the camera.
- Physical Consistency: Most lenses share a uniform 114mm front diameter and consistent gear positions for focus and iris, allowing for rapid lens swaps on set.
