The Gecko-Cam Genesis G35 Vintage ’66 is a special edition series of prime lenses designed to replicate the aesthetic of the Canon K35 lenses. These lenses combine high-end German mechanics with a specific “modern vintage” look characterized by softer contrast and pronounced flares. 

• Optical Design: Developed by Thoma Engineering, these lenses use single-layer coatings (rather than modern multi-coatings) to increase flare sensitivity and create a more organic, textured image.
• Visual Look: They are known for generating a pleasing bokeh and a “gentle” contrast that is particularly effective for natural-looking skin tones, avoiding the overly sharp or “crispy” look of standard modern optics.
• Coatings: Uses single-layer coatings on internal elements and leaves the front lens uncoated. This results in unique focus fall-off and expressive halation.
• Aperture: Features a circular 14-bladed iris to maintain round bokeh even when stopped down.
• Full-Frame Coverage: They offer a large 46.3mm image circle, making them compatible with the Fujinon GFX Eterna 55,Sony Venice 1/2 & Arri Mini LF.
