Aputure Storm 1200x Bi-Colour LED
The Aputure Storm 1200x is a high-output, 1,200W tunable-white LED point-source fixture and the flagship of Aputure’s “STORM” family. It is designed for professional film and video production, offering performance comparable to an 1,800W HMI while introducing a new five-colour “BLAIR” light engine for superior colour accuracy.
- BLAIR Light Engine: Utilises Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, and Red LEDs instead of standard white chips. This setup allows for a broader white-light spectrum and better matching of natural daylight and tungsten sources.
- Indigo Emitter: A breakthrough addition that helps replicate near-UV light, causing certain materials (like skin and eyes) to fluoresce naturally, which standard LEDs often fail to do.
- Colour Control: Features an expansive CCT range of 2,500K to 10,000K. It is the first of its kind to offer 100% +/- Green control across the full ASC MITC range.
- ProLock Locking Bowens Mount: A new heavy-duty clamping mount that holds modifiers securely and keeps precision optics like Fresnels perfectly aligned.
- Weather Resistance: The lamp head, control box, and cables are all IP65-rated, allowing for use in extreme weather conditions such as rain.
