We had the opportunity to work with the F23 camera and let our DOP Peter Falk go to town on a complicated and time precious shoot. As a producer / Director I was a little nervous about the time I thought it would take to rig / de-rig this camera set up. All I can say is WOW. The unit was incredible, smooth transitions between shot set ups and an absolutely stunning result. It was like working with film, only easier and to be honest, more thrilling! The F23 provided us with results I have never been able to achieve. Fantastic arrangements with lenses, enabled us to cheat a lot of shots, ultimately saving us time and money. It’s got the versatility of a small camera and of course the 4:4:4 element which is wonderfully rich in depth of colour options when grading. Video Australasia made this process possible by their absolute and complete knowledge of the gear and my seemingly relentless and unreasonable requirements!! They operate like a full international production hire outfit, yet still give you the one on one attention to detail that you’d get if you were borrowing a mate’s camera. So all in all a fantastic package, affordably priced, achieving fantastic results. I can’t say anymore than that!
