Sony SRW-1 Portable/Dockable HDCAM SR Recorder - The SRW-1 HD Portable Digital Video Recorder and SRPC-1 HD Video Processor are the newest members of the CineAlta product lineup and form the first Sony full-bandwidth 4:4:4 (RGB) portable VTR system adopting the HDCAM-SR format. The SRW-1/SRPC-1 offers virtually lossless 1080-line high-definition recordings at multiple frame rates on the HDCAM-SR tape media The SRPC-1 processor unit provides a variety of video-processing functions and houses an array of input and output connectors, including HD/SD signals, 12 channels of digital audio, and 4 channels of analog audio. The processing functions include 2-3 pull-down insertions for 525 down conversion, and RGB 4:4:4 to Y/Pb/Pr 4:2:2 color space conversion. The system is capable of operating in three recording modes. SQ (standard Quality) providing 440 Mbps video payload to tape in both 4:4:4 or 4:2:2, HQ (High Quality) mode allowing for 2x speed recording yielding 880 Mbps to tape with a 2:1 compression ratio in full band RGB 4:4:4, and 3D mode where two separate 4:2:2 HD SDI inputs can be recorded simultaneously to the same tape, providing an efficient means of recording stereo full bandwidth 4:2:2 images for 3D productions. Each stereo channel is recorded at 440 Mbps with the benefits of full error correction to both channels.

Sony SRW-5800 - The SRW-5800 is the top of the line VTR in the Sony lineup. The HDCAM-SR format deck is capable of variable frame rate playback of recordings made on the F23/F35 camera systems, and other cameras using the SRW-1 HDCAM-SR recorder. The VTR supports (record and playback) the 880 megabits per second HQ recording, that was possible only on the SRW-1 until now. The SRW-5800 offers mixed format playback of HDCAM-SR 4:4:4 and 4:2:2, HDCAM 4:2:2 and Digital Betacam. The unit can perform many tasks including 3-2 pulldown, up/down/cross conversion, progressive scan to interlace and colour space conversion. Packaging data within an AES/EBU wrapper enables users to record non audio data on any of the 12 audio tracks.

Sony PDW-HD1500 - This fully featured studio style XDCAM recorder is an ideal machine for either high end post production use or users with HD/SD SDI input facilities. Full downconversion is built in. The 1500 model will output standard definition composite for local monitoring, standard and high definition serial digital for ingest or full resolution playout. It also features a firewire port for file based transfer.

Sony PDW-U1 - This remarkably small unit is designed for USB 2.0 interface to computers for ingesting XDCAM HD or SD material for editing and viewing. The U1 also can be written back to, and can be used for archiving data to 23 or 50GB XDCAM disks. This device is the smallest lightest drive in the XDCAM HD 4:2:2 family.

Sony HDW - F500 HDCAM VTR - High-Definition edition recorder utilizing HDCAM compression. The switchable frame rate allows recording to be made at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 frames per second progressive , and 50, 59.94 or 60 fields per second interlace. Audio capabilities include (4) 20-bit channels, capable of handling Dolby "E' encoded audio tracks. HD SDI (with 4 channels of embedded audio) and AES/EBU audio interfaces are standard. Options are available for integrated downconversion to 525 video (HKDV - 501A) and 3:2 pulldown to 1080i (HKDV - 507D) for handling 23.98 or 24P material in existing systems. RS 422 control interface is standard, and 50-pin control interface is optional.

Sony HDW - JH3 HDCAM Player - The J-H3 is a cost effective solution for HDCAM tape viewing, logging, and off-line editing applications. The unit offers computer display output for viewing of HDCAM tapes at XGA resolution on computer screens and projectors, and multi field/frame rate operation. As a member of the CineAlta product family, the J-H3 supports 24P playback operation, and is equipped with HD and SD serial digital interfaces for high quality monitoring and work tape copying. The unit also supports both large and small size HDCAM cassettes.

Sony HVR M10 VTR - The HDV-M10 model is a lightweight, compact 1080i HDV VTR capable of recording and playback of HDV, DVCAM, DV formats and incorporates a 3.5-inch color LCD viewing screen. In addition to allowing compatibility to the standard definition DV world, the 1080i-recorded image can also be down-converted to SD output mode directly from VTR or camcorder in the digital or analog domain. The compact VTR also benefits from both main power and battery operation for better operation flexibility.

Focus FireStore 100GB Hard Drive recorder - The FS-100 enables you to record DVCPRO HD at 720p 25 in P2 or QuickTime file formats at native frame rates. Only the required frames are recorded. This feature not only eliminates the need to remove pulldown or duplicate frames during ingest, but also enables you to record twice as much DVCPRO HD video to disk. The FS-100 also supports variable frame rate (VFR) recording for spectacular slow-motion and fast-motion effects. VFR files are imported directly into your NLE system’s timeline—no conversion is required.

Panasonic 60G P2 Store - P2 Store is Panasonic’s portable high speed copier that quickly and easily copies data from P2 cards, speeding up data acquisition and lowering costs. P2 store can copy 4GB of data in only about four minutes. P2 store also re-formats the cards so you can use them again right away. The unit is compact and lightweight, and runs on batteries or an AC Adaptor. The total weight of the unit is only 500 grams. The unit is also designed to withstand impact and vibration. The P2 Store has a USB2.0 connection that allows use as an external drive. The PC will recognize up to 15 data volumes. To help safeguard data, the volumes are read-only and cannot be accidentally overwritten.
